چکیده

Article history: Received 22 October 2008 Available online xxxx JEL classification: C72 D80 Quantum games have been argued to differ from classical games by virtue of the quantum-mechanical phenomenon of entanglement. We formulate a baseline of classical correlation – which takes two forms according as signals added to the game are or are not required to be independent of chance moves in the underlying game. We show that independence is a necessary condition for the addition of quantum signals to have a different effect from the addition of classical signals. © 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

The Relationship Between Classical and Quantum Correlation in Games

Quantum games have been argued to extend classical games (Eisert-Wilkens-Lewenstein [8, 1999], Meyer [18, 1999], and subsequent papers). Levine [17, 2005] has questioned this assertion. We offer what we believe to be the simplest expression of the disagreement. In doing so, we also establish a general correspondence, at the probabilistic level, between the analyses of correlation in game theory...

Relationship between Designing Computer-based Educational Games, and Learning Motivation among Elementary Students

Background: Motivation is an important factor in learning. Educational games increase the learning motivation and understanding of students by creating a sense of joy, satisfaction and involvement. However, it is necessary to incorporate learning elements into the games, differently. In this study, the researcher tried to provide a model for designing educational games and determining its relat...

Quantum Correlation Games

A new approach to play games quantum mechanically is proposed. We consider two players who perform measurements in an EPR-type setting. The payoff relations are defined as functions of correlations, i.e. without reference to classical or quantum mechanics. Classical bi-matrix games are reproduced if the input states are classical and perfectly anti-correlated, that is, for a classical correlati...

Investigations in quantum games using EPR - type set - ups by Azhar Iqbal

Research in quantum games has flourished during recent years. However, it seems that opinion remains divided about their true quantum character and content. For example, one argument says that quantum games are nothing but ‘disguised’ classical games and that to quantize a game is equivalent to replacing the original game by a different classical game. The present thesis contributes towards the...

Implication of Quantum Effects on Non-Linear Propagation of Electron Plasma Solitons

We have studied the electron exchange-correlation effect on thecharacteristics of the two-component unmagnetized dense quantum plasma withstreaming motion. For this purpose, we have used the quantum hydrodynamic model(including the effects of a quantum statistical Fermi electron temperature) for studyingthe propagation of an electrostatic electron plasma waves in such th...
